OUR CLASSES

Pre-Ballet

Ages 3-5

This class is a great introduction to dance to help your child discover a joy for dance. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of ballet in an environment that is age appropriate keeping the students engaged using visual imagery as well as incorporating creative movement activities. 

Ballet III, IV, V

Ages 9-18

Students are placed in a class based off their level. Classes meet 2x a week and dancers continue to advance being pushed to their fullest potential. 

Tap I

Ages 9+

In this beginner level tap class, dancers will learn the basics of tap dancing. We will learn simple sounds and rhythms, as well as a variety of different steps.

 

Modern I

Ages 7+

 In this class students will learn fundamentals of the Graham technique. Starting with contractions and releases in floor work and progressing to center and traveling moves. Modern compliments all other dance forms and grows students through freedom of movement. 

Ballet 1

Ages 5-7

Similar to the same format as Pre-Ballet but we begin incorporating some barre work as well as across the floor combinations with more challenging dance steps. We also incorporate creative movement and fun ballet activities.

Pointe I & II

Ages 12+ and/or recommended by Ms. Sarah. Pointe students are required to be enrolled in Ballet IV or Ballet V. We currently offer 2 levels for pointe and they meet 1x a week. 

Tap II

Ages 9+

Your dancer will work on more intricate tap steps and rhythms. They will work on harder and faster combos in the center and across the floor. Open to students who have completed Tap I and approved by Ms. Sarah W. 

 

Modern II

Students will progress building off Graham fundamentals and advancing to more challenging traveling sequences. Students will build strength using their entire bodies to seamlessly connect movements and go from one level to another. This class is for students who have completed Modern I and/or approved by Ms. Rachel. 

Ballet II

Ages 7-9

Dancers will build a strong foundation learning barre work as well as center and across the floor combinations. The students will also begin learning ballet vocabulary. 

Worship

Ages 7+

This class is a great addition to ballet for those that want to learn how to use movement to worship the Lord. Students are encouraged to be creative and will learn how to choreograph and have freedom with improvisation as well.

Lyrical

Ages 9+

Dancers will learn how to really feel the lyrics of different songs as they dance. Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz movements, usually working with a slower song that has lots of emotion. Dancers will learn how to express those emotions through different movements and facial expressions.  

Adult Ballet

This is a beginner class where all levels are welcome, and no experience is needed. Ballet fundamentals will be taught focusing on technique, artistry, and increasing strength and stamina. In this class barre work will be done followed by center and moving across the floor with an emphasis on mastering each movement. Beginner teens are also welcome to join this class.
